The Indian team has returned home after a disappointing campaign in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where they lost the series 1-3, relinquishing the title for the first time in a decade.
Up next, India will host England for a five-match T20I series followed by three ODIs in preparation for the Champions Trophy 2025.
The T20I squad against England has been announced, with wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant rested. Pant had put up a commendable fight in the final Test in Sydney, though it ended in a losing effort.
In his downtime, Pant shared pictures of himself dressed sharply in formals and a blazer. While fans appreciated his stylish new look, it was former cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s cheeky comment that grabbed attention.
“Half (pant emoji) s,” Yuvraj quipped, playfully referencing Pant’s surname.
India’s T20I series against England begins on January 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Following the T20Is, the three-match ODI series will kick off on February 6 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. Fans are hopeful that India will bounce back strong in the upcoming home fixtures.
