A heartwarming video of Indian cricketer Rinku Singh’s father, Khanchandra Singh, enjoying a bike ride on a Kawasaki Ninja H2R gifted by his son, has gone viral on social media. In the clip, Khanchandra is seen taking the superbike for a test ride on the streets, his face radiating sheer delight.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R, reportedly priced above INR 5 lakh in India, is available in only one variant and color. The joy on Khanchandra’s face reflects the significance of this gift, especially given his humble background. Khanchandra, who worked in an LPG distribution company, raised his family in a two-room quarter near Aligarh Stadium in Uttar Pradesh.
Rinku, the third of Khanchandra and Vina Devi’s five children, overcame many challenges to become a celebrated cricketer. Despite his son’s success, Khanchandra remains grounded and continues to deliver gas cylinders daily. Rinku’s thoughtful gesture for his father has received widespread admiration online, with fans praising his humility and gratitude.
On a personal note, Rinku is rumored to be marrying Priya Saroj, daughter of Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament Priya Saroj. Reports suggest that both families have had “meaningful discussions” and given their consent to the match. “Rinku and Priya have known each other for more than a year. They liked each other but sought their families’ approval, which has now been granted,” Priya’s father shared.
On the cricketing front, Rinku Singh is set to feature in India’s five-match T20I series against England and will also represent Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.
