Star couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary on Wednesday, December 11.
Anushka has been a regular presence at cricket matches, cheering for her husband, and the two shared a touching moment recently during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25). After smashing his 81st international century in Perth, Kohli looked up to the stands to acknowledge his wife’s applause, creating an unforgettable highlight. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, in 2017. They are parents to a daughter, Vamika, and a son, Akaay. Virat, who has been part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since the IPL’s inception, received a heartfelt anniversary tribute from the franchise’s official social media account. “Serving couple goals ft. Virushka. Wishing a very happy wedding anniversary to the power couple, Anushka and Virat. Here’s to many more beautiful years together, and may you continue to inspire each other and the rest of the world!” read the post. After his century in Perth, the 36-year-old Kohli credited Anushka for her unwavering support during challenging times. It took Kohli over a year to add to his century tally, moving from 80 to 81 across formats. “I take pride in performing for my country. Having her here makes it even more special. Anushka has been by my side through thick and thin, understanding everything behind the scenes—the struggles, the mistakes, and the pressures. I just want to contribute to the team’s success; I’m not someone who sticks around just for the sake of it,” Kohli said in a post-match interview.
