Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to feature in India’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, starting Sunday, October 6, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
Ahead of the opener, Pandya arrived in Gwalior, receiving a warm welcome from locals at the Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Air Terminal.
A video of his arrival, showing him in casual attire, has been circulating on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Pandya, who trained at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy (NCA) before traveling to Gwalior, was accompanied by his son Agastya during his stay at the NCA.
Although Pandya was expected to take over full-time captaincy, Suryakumar Yadav was named captain, with team management citing injury concerns as a reason for the decision. The T20I series, led by Yadav, will move to Delhi for the second match and conclude in Hyderabad.
India, having won the Test series 2-0, aim for a clean sweep in the T20I series as well.
