The buzz for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is building as the tournament’s latest promotional video takes social media by storm.
The video features Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Nabi, and Phil Salt in a humorous heist-style attempt to “steal” the trophy.
Set in a museum robbery scenario, the players are seen using clever tactics to reach the coveted prize. The video begins with Shaheen Afridi being lowered by Shadab Khan into a vault filled with lasers and motion sensors.
As Shaheen closes in, Hardik Pandya skillfully ducks through the lasers, trying to beat him. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi emerges through an underground route, and England’s Phil Salt suddenly appears, adding to the chaos.
The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, hosted by Pakistan with four matches in the UAE, will run from February 19 to March 9. Featuring the world’s top eight cricket nations, the tournament will include 15 matches.
India and Pakistan are grouped in Group A alongside New Zealand and Bangladesh, while Group B consists of Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan.
The highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash is set to take place in Dubai on February 23.
