With just a week left until the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 kicks off, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled its lineup of Event Ambassadors, set to enhance the fan experience.
Leading the star-studded panel is Pakistan’s 2017 Champions Trophy-winning captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, joined by two-time champion Shane Watson of Australia, India’s 2013 Player of the Series Shikhar Dhawan, and New Zealand’s legendary pacer Tim Southee.
Throughout the tournament, these cricketing greats will provide exclusive insights via guest columns, match attendances, and expert analysis as the world’s top eight teams battle for the prestigious white jackets.
Sarfaraz Ahmed, “Lifting the Champions Trophy in 2017 was one of the proudest moments of my career. Seeing the entire nation rally behind us made it even more special. I’m thrilled to see the tournament return and even more excited that Pakistan gets to host such a monumental event. Every game in this format is high-stakes, and I can’t wait to witness it firsthand as an Ambassador.”
Shikhar Dhawan, “The Champions Trophy is always a special event, and being part of it as an Ambassador is an incredible honor. With the world’s best teams competing, every match is a do-or-die encounter where one mistake could end a team’s campaign. That’s what makes it such an electrifying spectacle.”
Tim Southee, “I’m excited to be an Ambassador for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. Having played in the tournament, I know how much each game, every ball, and every moment counts. With so much on the line, it’s always packed with drama and entertainment.”
Shane Watson, “The Champions Trophy is a one-of-a-kind tournament that has given us countless unforgettable moments. With the top eight teams battling for the iconic white jackets, we’re in for three weeks of exhilarating cricket where every match matters.”
With these cricketing icons adding to the excitement, the stage is set for a thrilling edition of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.
