Shubman Gill had some playful moments with his teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal and also roped in captain Rohit Sharma as Team India arrived in Adelaide for the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024, set to begin on December 6.
The Men in Blue landed in Adelaide on Monday after securing a six-wicket win over the Australian Prime Minister’s XI in a pink-ball warm-up match in Canberra.
The game also marked Rohit Sharma’s return to the squad after missing the first Test due to the birth of his second child.
In a lighthearted video shared by the BCCI on Tuesday, Jaiswal is seen stuck in a ‘no entry’ zone. Rohit jokingly scolded him like an elder brother, while Gill cheekily prolonged the situation by pretending to find a solution.
“He’s stuck. It says no entry right there. It will open if we go close—only if we go close,” Gill quipped with a mischievous smile as Rohit asked Jaiswal, “Why did you go there?”
The second half of the video featured Sarfaraz Khan and Washington Sundar sharing a laugh while browsing at the airport. Sarfaraz playfully compared Sundar to Mogambo, the iconic villain played by Amrish Puri in the 1987 Bollywood classic *Mr. India*.
Here’s how their humorous exchange unfolded:
Sarfaraz: “Wear this, bro. You’ll look like Mogambo.”
Washington: “I don’t like the color—I look like a magician.”
Sarfaraz: “No, you’re looking like Mogambo. Do you know that movie? Mogambo?”
Washington: “No.”
The pink-ball Test at Adelaide Oval will start on December 6, with India aiming to extend their 1-0 lead in the five-match series after their convincing victory in Perth.
